Easter Egg Hunt 2010

We had the Hamblin family Easter Egg hunt at our house this year. It was so much fun! We missed Grandma and Grandpa, but we are so proud of them for serving a mission in Nauvoo, and giving up fun times like these to serve the Lord.

The party was great, we had hamburgers, and Pink Fluff Salad (of course), yummy Potato Salad, veggies dip, chips and drinks. For desert we had puffed wheat cereal balls ( A Hamblin family tradition, don't knock it 'til you try it) and a new tradition for the past 3 or 4 years, my No-Bake Cookie Easter Egg Nests. After Dinner we had the Egg hunt, and then the kids enjoyed their candy treasures, while the grown-ups chatted and laughed and had a great time spending time together (And enjoying the kids candy treasures...Just kidding, we ate what was left of the candy from the bags). We Missed Miranda and her family and Adam and his family (except for Isaac, because he came with Garrett) We hope to be with all of them next year. I am so blessed to have such a great family!

We came, we conquered!

This is the rock we climbed. You may or may not think this is a big deal, but for me it was a very big deal. I have NEVER dared climb this before. But this day I felt I could do it. Each step up gave me more of a sense of accomplishment. I kept thinking "Each step is taking me higher from the ground, thus further to fall if I did, but I am doing it because I want to and I can!" I did also think "Crap! Now I have to get back down, how's that 'gonna work?" But I did make it back down, with the help of my husband guiding my feet.
There are so many analogies that can be made from this experience. And I made some, but I'll keep them to myself. It does feel good to conquer your fears though. And yes, that is a cheesy picture of me feeling very proud of myself! :)

We did it! We climed the little mountian/ rock by the Great Salt Lake. I don't know if it has a name, but it's the one by the Saltair. We all climed together making sure we each made it up one step at a time.

Ugly Easter Bird

Madison made this cute/funny creation all by her cute/funny little self. Then she asked me if I would take a picture of it, and put it on Facebook. So I did. It has had a some fun comments made about it, and some people who like it.
I just love her cute/funny personality.
Happy Easter!

I love this goofy little girl of mine!
She is always taking care of her mommy. Last night, I was so tired, so she brushed my hair and then put it into all different crazy styles. Then she scratched my back, and when I was sooo sleepy, I layed down on her pillow and she put blankets on me. For a minute I thought I was the child and she was my mommy taking care of me. *Sigh* And then the two younger kids, started asking for drinks. Oh well...it was nice for a second. I do have great kids. Love you guys! *HUGS*

Look at all the pink, we must have girls!
It was a fun Christmas, and we all had a great day. No one was really sick that day, so that made it even better. But the mess was a different story!

Now, which picture should I use for the Christmas card? Hmmmm?
